Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trekking

The 23 day trek from Jiri to the Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular classic treks ollows the traditional route taken by the early Everest expeditions and still serves as main artery to the roadless Sagarmatha (Everest) region. The spectacular scenery of the landscape and the Himalayan ranges are the significance of this trek. The lower part of this trek is called Solu region while the upper section is regarded as Khumbu region both are known as home of sherpa. The Khumbu region has been bounded in the Sagarmatha National Park, the world heritage site. "Sagarmatha" is the Nepalese name of Mt. Everest, the top of the tops. Sherpas, the famous climbers are the dwellers of Khumbu region. The flora and fauna are other jewels of the Sagarmatha National Park, and the story of the Yeti is still a mystery to the rest of the world. Trekking in Everest region, take bus to Jiri then start waking to the Everest Base Camp is breathtaking and requires a good walking experience and a good physical health condition. This trek is very interesting walking with its panoramic view of Everest 8848m, Cho Oyu 8152m, Lhotse 8516m, Makalu 8463m and Ama Dablam 6456m. through the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Buddhist Monastery, Khunde Khumjung etc. Settlement of mixed ethnic group Brahman, Chhetri, Magar, Tamang in the low land and Sherpa in highland of Solukhumbu Everest region. Jiri to Everest base camp trek cover low land from Jiri to highland Kalapathar 5545m.

The trek starts fromJiri and passes through spectacular villages with exotic monasteries in Junbeshi (2675 m) to and to Khartung which offers the first view of Everestand host of other peaks like Thamserku (6608 m), Kantega (6779 m), Kusum Kangru (6367 m) and Mera Peak (6654 m). Further to Traksindo Pass (3071 m) and Ringmo this is a regionless frequented and crowded by other trekkers. The trek emerges high up in the Khumbu valley and follows the trail to Everest Base Camp. Finally the trip finish faly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

• Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (TIA) and transfer to Hotel.
  Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseein, including Pashupathinath, syambhunath(The Monkey Temple), Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square & Patan Durbar Square. O/n at Kathmandu Hotel.
  Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Jiri. o/n at Lodge.
  Day 04: Trek to through settlements to Bandar. o/n at Lodge.
  Day 05: Trek to Sete village. o/n at Lodge.
  Day 06: Trek over Lamjura pass( 3,500 m.) to Junbesi. o/n at Lodge.
